Paul J. Pagano, M.D.
Dr. Pagano is an Orthopaedic Spine specialist whose practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of all disorders of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spines. Specific interests include adult deformity, trauma, tumor resection and reconstruction and minimally invasive spinal fusions.
Dr. Pagano is a native of the Youngstown area, graduating from Girard High School in 1986. He received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 from the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and his medical degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Pagano's completed his residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine; Detroit, Michigan in 2000. Following his residency, Dr. Pagano performed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery with Richard Holt, MD in Louisville, Kentucky and the late Thomas Whitecloud, MD at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, as well as a Fellow Member of American Medical Association. Dr. Pagano is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and a member of the Mahoning Valley Medical Society.
Dr. Pagano continues to use his engineering background as an active medical consultant for Medtronic Sofamor Danek and Stryker Spine. He is also an instructor in minimally invasive spinal techniques and holds medical patents in the field of spine surgery.
