As part of its "Doctor's Order" promotion, Youngstown Orthopaedic donated $300 for every time a YSU football player rushed for 100 yards or more in a game. During a successful season that saw the team improve on its 2010 record by three games, YSU backs eclipsed 100 yards on 10 occasions, including eight by leading rusher Jamaine Cook. Adaris Bellamy and Jordan Thompson each had one, 100-plus yard performance.

Beth White, director of specialty imaging and marketing services for Youngstown Orthopaedic, presented a check to American Cancer Society representative Danielle Procopio during the YSU's men's basketball game against Milwaukee.

"We're thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with YSU athletics, encouraged by its football team's accomplishments in 2011, and most of all proud to support the research efforts of the American Cancer Society through its local Relay for Life initiative," White said. "We look forward to sponsoring this program again next year."
