Thomas Joseph, M.D., President

Dr. Joseph is active in the community practicing medicine as an orthopaedic specialist at Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates where he currently serves at its President.

Dr. Thomas Joseph, is an orthopaedic surgeon and currently serves as President of The Orthopaedic Surgery Center. Dr Joseph graduated Cum Laude from John Carroll University and received his Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic and a sports medicine fellowship from world‐renown Steadman‐Hawkins Clinic. Dr Joseph is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

He has been at the forefront of clinical innovation providing the highest quality orthopaedic care to the patients of Northeast Ohio.

Joseph Stefko, M.D., Vice President

Dr. Joseph Stefko is an orthopaedic surgeon and currently serves as the Vice President of Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Stefko graduated from Ohio University and received his Doctor of Medicine from Wright State University School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship from world renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles California. Dr. Stefko is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Sports Medicine fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder rotator cuff surgery and shoulder replacement surgery. Using the latest surgical technology, Dr. Stefko has extensive experience with arthroscopic repair of ligament and tendon injuries, as well as computer-assisted planning and sizing for your shoulder replacement. His outpatient surgical practice incorporates minimally invasive surgical techniques along with pain block management. For over 25 years, Dr. Stefko has been involved in educating young orthopaedic surgeons and caring for athletes of all kinds in the Valley.

James Jamison, M.D., Officer

Dr. Jamison is an orthopedic specialist with a focus on hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction surgery. He has been with Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates since 1997.

Dr. Jamison is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, the Mid-America Orthopaedic Society, the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and the Ohio State Medical Association.

Dr. Jamison is on full-time staff at the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods and St. Elizabeth – Mercy Medical Center in Boardman. Courtesy privileges are held at St. Elizabeth – Mercy Medical Center in Youngstown, and the Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Boardman. David Weimer, M.D., Officer

Dr. Weimer is an orthopeadic surgeon and currently serves as an Officer of Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Weimer graduated from Allegheny College, received his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College, and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at RUSH University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. and Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL.

Dr. Weimer is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and specializes in hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction, including partial knee replacement, complex hip and knee revision, and outpatient joint replacement procedures.

Dr. Weimer is on staff at the St. Elizabeth Hospital locations in Youngstown and Boardman and the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods, The Orthopaedic Surgery Center, and Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren.

K. Seth Kuwik, M.D., Medical Director

Dr. K. Seth Kuwik is an orthopaedic surgeon with knowledge in hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Kuwik graduated from Lipscomb University in 2005 after four years as a starter on its NCAA Division I baseball team. During his college baseball career, he won numerous honors including being named an ESPN The Magazine District IV All-Academic All-American in 2005.

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2010 from the University of Toledo, Dr. Kuwik took part in an orthopaedic surgery residency from 2010-2015 at the State University of New York at Buffalo, N.Y. Before joining Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates, he also completed an Adult Reconstruction/Knee Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, N.Y. Dr. Kuwik is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Taylor Cera, MBA, COO

Mr. Taylor Cera is the COO at “Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates”. Mr. Cera has nearly 9 years of healthcare leadership experience and is responsible for the direction, planning, implementing, and leading of all operational and financial activities at the Center. Mr. Cera’s knowledge is in strategic planning and business development. Mr. Cera along with his team has developed and implemented many key growth initiatives such as pricing tools, direct surgical service contracting, and an outpatient joint replacement center service line. Mr. Cera has served in operational roles at St. John Medical Center‐University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh UPMC, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cera is active in the community serving as a Member and past Vice President of The Pennsylvania State University Shenango Campus Advisory Board. In 2016, he received The Mahoning Valley Young Professional Top 25 Under 35 Award. Becker’s Healthcare named him among 23 ASC Leaders under 40 that have made a significant impact as part of the ASC industry. Mr. Cera received his bachelor degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in business administration concentrating in accounting from Cleveland State University. He was a member of the Penn State men’s hockey team.
