Patients who recently had any type of surgery should contact the on-call physician before going to the Emergency Department.
It is important to have as much information regarding your condition available when contacting the Medical Bureau/ physician on-call.

When did you have surgery or type of problem you are having
Type surgery
Pain level
Redness/swelling
Fever/chills
If the matter does not appear to be urgent, the physician may direct the answering service to inform you to contact the office during office hours.
If you are a new/recent surgery patient please be sure to talk to physician on-call before going to the Emergency Department.
